IKKS KIDS’ COLLECTION

This summer, kids set off on an adventure... Between land and sea, an ultra-chic yachting atmosphere reigns over the port of Newport Beach and nonchalance veers starboard on their mini boat!

Kid girl (2-14 years): dazzling colours, varied motifs, and a cheery, colourful landscape that invites you to set off on your travels... Highly girly silhouettes blending fluorescence with soft pastels for looks with the scent of the sea and the waves! The materials display their virtuosity, from slim blue coated denim to the tulle of flounced dresses. This summer’s it-dress: a black tulle skirt and white tank-top style upper with an offbeat print. The IKKS little girl is clearly her parents’ little Queen! The warm weather will also see the introduction of this summer’s colour: coral.  It is adopted on mini shorts, a starry gilet and as a backdrop on a dress with fluorescent orange fabric polka dots. For more urban silhouettes there are imitation leather jackets, a leopard print, sequins and sparkles. A very girly story with rock codes.

For parties and weddings, the kid girl will have her beautiful white twirling dress...

Kid boy (2-14 years): in the same idyllic landscape the boy’s boat has run aground on the IKKS island... An adventurer who dreams of being a pirate, he navigates a world inspired by the West Coast of the USA. His wardrobe, with clear references to that of the kid girl, is adorned with sparkling colours and summery materials for chic, characteristic looks. The “it”-pieces: the skull Bermuda shorts, the octopus t-shirt and the cashmere shirt sold with the sailor t-shirt which matches the swimming trunks.

There are also polos and shirts for English-inspired silhouettes that even dare to borrow from the codes of rugby. Colours: orange on bermuda shorts, on the back of a navy jacket or on a highly “rock + roll” sailor stripe and a sand yellow on slim denims for a more avant-garde look. The kid boy has equipped and organised his wardrobe in order to stand out at summer ceremonies. Classier and purer, we love the semi-plain patterns in optical white or grey versions on a high-collar jacket, a knitted sleeveless gilet worn with slacks for casual elegance, or with regular white denim for a disconcerting laid-back look.

For super sleuths, stars and flags are more or less hidden or twisted on most of the pieces of the summer 13 collection... a real treasure hunt.
